Readers Are Leaders Event

readers are leaders Event

United Way of Kenosha County's 11th Annual Readers Are Leaders event will be held on March 3, 2020 in conjunction with Read Across America and the birthday of Dr. Seuss.  This year, Kindergarten through Third Grade classrooms across Kenosha County have registered so their students can hear various Dr. Seuss stories.   Help us make our event a success!

Volunteers will read a Dr. Seuss book provided by United Way of Kenosha County and engage students with questions about the story.  By volunteering, our readers show students why reading is so important and, most importantly, show them that we care about their success.

On the day of the event, volunteers convene at Gateway Technical College's Madrigrano Auditorium at 8:00 AM for a brief program and to pick up their materials.  After a group photo, volunteers depart for their assigned classrooms.
