Building Unity in CommUNITY: EDI Education Series

Building Unity in CommUNITY: Kenosha's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Educational Series

Presented by United Way of Kenosha County in partnership with The Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund, Herzing University, and Snap-on Incorporated

Building Unity in CommUNITY provides participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to cultivate a diverse, inclusive, equitable, and productive work environment.

OUR GOAL: Provide Kenosha County small businesses and nonprofits with a training resource that increases individual awareness and understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and unconscious bias, and ultimately, leads to more equitable workplaces for customers and employees.

The first installment of Building Unity in CommUNITY, taking place February 24-25, 2022, will focus on laying a foundation for participants with the introduction of commonly used terminology, historical materials, and practical techniques for utilizing information from the course in the workplace and throughout the community. Roger Moreano, founder of Bridges 4 Justice, and Jasmin M. Robinson, founder and CEO of I.D.E.A.L. Education, LLC,  will lead the two-day workshop.

The cost to attend the two-day workshop is $50.00 and includes boxed lunch and beverages.

Space is limited to 50 people. The registration deadline is February 11, 2022.

Building Unity in CommUNITY workshops will be planned as in-person events. We will follow our event host guidelines, including the requirement of masks, and closely monitor local COVID-19 rates. Any updates that impact a workshop will be shared with participants in advance of the event.
