Campaign Information

What is a workplace campaign?  

A workplace campaign is an organized, company-sponsored fundraising drive where employees are asked to contribute to United Way.

  • Campaigns make it easy for employees to give - through payroll deduction.  A gift can be made over the course of a year or two at one time. 

  • Campaigns educate employees and organizations about community issues, connecting them with their community and allowing them to make informed decisions.

  • Each company running a United Way campaign is supported by a United Way staff member.  We help you plan your goals and will provide materials to make your campaign fun and effective.  

  • From leadership opportunities to team-building fun, your organization can support our community and connect with your employees through United Way.

The workplace campaign is about more than raising money for worthy causes; it also strengthens connections between employees and their community.  Here, locally, United Way of Kenosha County could not have a successful campaign without all of the hard work of our dedicated Employee Campaign Ambassadors (ECA's).  An ECA spearheads, coordinates, and directs giving campaign activities in their perspective workplace. 

United Way Campaign Cabinets are made up of volunteers who help us lead our campaign.  They ask the community to GIVE UNITED. The group helps set the strategic vision and goals for the campaign and ensures its success across a broad range of industries.  

The goal of the campaign cabinet is to increase the financial and volunteer resources needed to allow the United Way of Kenosha County to accomplish its mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.  

Duties and responsibilities of the cabinet members are:

  • Contact existing and prospective corporate accounts within their respective division to share United Way's current message.

  • Thank them for their prior support and confirm continued commitment or solicit new corporate gift and/or employee campaign.

  • Ensure timely solicitation of all division accounts.

  • Attend Campaign Cabinet meetings and communicate regularly with campaign leadership and staff to share progress, opportunities and/or concerns.
