21 week equity challenge

Given the overwhelming response to our first 21 week Equity Challenge, we are hosting a second Challenge August 30 - January 17, 2022.  This second round of the Challenge presents similar topics and goals found in our first Challenge - taking participants through a journey to deepen the understanding of inequity and racism, suggest ways to take action, and help launch what we hope will be a lifelong commitment to improving equity and inclusion in our communities.  There will be updates to content and topics based on previous participant feedback and advisory group input.  The calendar of topics is available at www.unitedwaywi.org/equity.

Individuals who participated in the previous Challenge are welcomed and encouraged to join us again - though some content will be the same, there will be some new offerings, and this presents an opportunity to continue on our equity journey - and to continue building your equity habit!  If you participated on your own last time, this might be a good opportunity to engage a group in taking the Challenge together.

You are invited to the 21 Week #EquityChallenge – an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of how inequity and racism affect our lives and communities. Sign-up to receive a weekly email starting Monday, February 1st through Monday, June 21st. The weekly topics take you through a journey that starts with understanding internalized racism and explores how racism permeates person-to-person interactions, institutions and social structures. You are invited to take the challenge on your own – or form a small group to discuss weekly topics. Sign-up here
