Michael Steinborn

Personal – Mike is married to Jackie who is an elementary school teacher for Kenosha Unified School District.  They have a son, named Zack, who is 4.  The Steinborn family belongs to Mount Carmel Catholic Church where Zack attends school.  Mike is originally from Brookfield, WI and moved to Kenosha in 2013.  He graduated with an undergraduate degree from UW-Madison and an MBA degree from UW-Eau Claire.          

Community – Mike Currently serves on the board of The United Way Kenosha County, Lakeside Curative Services, Education Foundation of Kenosha, and The Greater Milwaukee Safety Council.  He is also a committee member for Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) Ylink, Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) Strategic Initiative #5, Junior Achievement Kenosha/Racine, and Educators Credit Union Innovation.  Mike enjoys being a United Way Readers are Leaders tutor at Wilson Elementary, volunteering at The Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha, and going into community schools to teach Junior Achievement programs.   His passion is workforce development and enhancing partnerships between KUSD and private businesses in the region.   

Professional – Mike works as an Operations Manager at OccuCare Injury Prevention in Kenosha.  In his role Mike works with private businesses and public entities to reduce workers’ compensation costs at companies.  He is bringing outside the box ideas to innovate the traditional healthcare system and bring down costs.  Mike is the first in the country to bring wearable ergonomic injury prevention devices over from Europe.  He is proud that Kenosha/Racine area businesses are the first in the United States to use these wearable devices to prevent workplace injuries.    

Mike loves traveling, spending time with his family/friends, networking, and everything Wisconsin related sports (UW, Bucks, Brewers, and Packers).
