Funding Process

Notice of Intent and Program Application Process  

United Way of Kenosha County is pleased to announce the 2010 Request for Basic Needs Programs through the “Circle of Care” Community Impact Fund.

The “Circle of Care” Community Impact Fund supports partnerships and collaborations between community-based organizations and United Way to provide programs and services to improve the health and well-being of the people of Kenosha County. Interested non-profit agencies with programs and/or services that target basic needs of low-to-moderate income individuals and families are encouraged to apply. Programs must align with the funding objectives and outcomes of UWKC’s Basic Needs focus area, the program must also demonstrate how it will positively impact the lives of Kenosha County residents.
If interested, non-profit organizations must first complete an online “Notice of Intent” and “Agency Registration”. The “Notice of Intent” process opens on June 18 and closes on July 19. The program application period opens on July 1 and closes on August 12.
A “Notice of Intent” is required and must be submitted and approved before access is granted for submission of a 2010-2012 Basic Needs Program Application. The “Notice of Intent” deadline is 4:00 pm on July 19, 2010.
Applicants must be actively engaged in providing social services and operating under IRS guidelines 501 (c) (3) status. Programs considered for funding will have been actively engaged for a minimum of two or more years in providing social services in Kenosha County and will align with the Basic Needs funding objectives and outcomes.

  • June 30:  Program Application Process and NOI  Information Session
  • July 19:  Agency Registration and NOI DUE by 4:00 pm
  • July 1:    Program Application available
  • August 12:  Program Application DUE by 4:00 pm
  • August 13 - November 16:  Program Application Review Process
  • November 19:  Expected Notification of 2010-2012 Funded Programs
